Conservation Teacher's Scholarship

 

Conservation of our natural resources is a prime concern to WSFGC. The Educators’ Scholarship is used for advanced training in environmental fields. Courses are given at colleges, universities and other teaching facilities around the state. The program is administered by WSFGC, with the assistance of the Office of the Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction.

WSFGC Scholarship Fund

WSFGC Scholarship Fund benefits recipients at Washington State University, University of Washington  and Huxley College of the Environment at Western Washington University.  A donation in any amount may be made at any time and will be acknowledged.  If the donation is a memorial, acknowledgement will be sent to relatives or friends.


Join the Booster Club and receive a certificate at the Convention.  Donate $25, $50, $75, or $100 or more.  Make checks payable to "WSFGC Scholarship Fund" and send to:

WSFGC annually awards seven scholarships with a minimum of $750.00 each to the following:

  • Washington State University: Horticulture, Landscape Design and Soil Sciences

  • University of Washington: Landscape Design, Forest Resources and Biology

  • Western Washington University: Huxley College of the Environment

Recipients are chosen by the professors in each of the Departments.

National Garden Club gives 32 scholarships of $3,500 each.  A student should go to the NGC web site at www.gardenclub.org, print, complete & and send the application to Jeanette Pruin, State Chairman at the address listed above.. Pacific Region has a web site and a scholarship application at www.pacificregiongardenclubs.org.
